Your marriage exists because of the gospel, and it must be built upon the gospel. Your marriage is not to say to the world, “Look at a perfect couple.” But your marriage is to say to the world, “Look at an imperfect couple who are needy of grace and who have found that grace in Jesus Christ. He is our Lord. He is our Savior. He is our only hope now and forever."

It's a beautiful and painful reminder. Because who wants to be a picture of being so needy of grace? But we are. All of us. In such need. This grace is our song to sing and our story to tell. This neediness points to the gospel as the only hope for us.
